Update

Trey's oxygen requirements are dropping from 71% down to 57%!!! He is still at 6 liters on the Vapotherm. The doctor said that as long as his oxygen does not rise, they will keep him off of the vent. His sodium and potassium are stable, but they are continuing to subsidize these through his feedings. His chest x-ray has not changed. Not better, but praise the Lord not worse!!! The diuretic seems to be helping a little.

Morning update - KEEP PRAYING!

Trey gave Momma a little smile to encourage her!

Trey's oxygen is up to 65%. He is still at 6 liters on the Vapotherm. The doctors have also decided that Trey has Chronic Lung Disease. They believe that this recent downfall was because of fluid buildup on the lungs, as well as a rebound from the steriods. They are increasing his diuretic to get rid of the extra fluid. They are also going to give him potassium. They are trying to keep him from going back to the vent for as long as possible!! They weighed him and he is up to 2lbs. 8 ounces!!! Pray for James and Naomi-- they are very tired and hanging on!

see update below...

URGENT request - PLEASE PRAY!

They have increased his vapotherm up to 6 liters and his oxygen is up to 61%. This is the highest that they will go without putting him back on the vent! James asked that we pray special for this! As far as James knows, they are unsure as to why he is requiring so much help right now.

Updates

morning update- Trey did not have a good night at all.  They have had to increase his Vapotherm to 5 liters, increase his oxygen requirements, and they also had to give him a blood transfusion.  That is all I know this morning, but they were on their way back to the hospital.

afternoon update -  Trey does have an infection in his eye, but there is no infection in his lungs.

2nd update for Sunday

Trey's blood sugar is up.  He also has bacteria in his eye that they are going to culture and see what is going on.  They have begun giving him 2 antibiotics because he is showing signs of infection.

see update below for more info on what is happening with Trey today.

Important Prayer Request

Trey did not have a good night/morning.  They have increased his Vapotherm back up to 4 liters, and his oxygen requirement is back up to 52%.  They did a chest x-ray and his left lung is not opening as it should.  They are not sure if it is just the extra fluid they had to give him to try to get his sodium level up, or an infection, or a side effect of him coming off of the steroids.  They are giving him a diuretic to help with any extra fluid and will repeat a chest x-ray.

Pray for wisdom for the doctors & for James & Naomi.
