We spoke with James tonight on the phone and he wanted to express how thankful they are for all the prayers, phone calls, & messages of encouragement that they have received over the last 48 hours. He explained that at birth Trey was given a 50% survival rate due to the circumstances surrounding his birth. That day, when they learned of his kidneys not functioning (which caused swelling) & the fact that his WBC was low/non-existent - made the doctors more cautious due to the fact there was nothing medically they could do for him. When, the news came this morning of Trey's kidneys functioning & his WBC elevating - the doctors were able to be cautiously optimistic with telling them that his survival rate is a tad higher than 50% as of today. Praise the Lord for His timing & protection!
Today, we rejoice in the miracle the Lord performed with Trey's kidneys & WBC.
Continue in prayer for:
- Trey's development & growth
- Naomi's recovery from the c-section
- Strength & peace for the family
- Wisdom for the medical staff
- God's Kingdom to be furthered when other's witness the hand of God at work.
It is the family's desire that all the Glory go to God!
*James & Naomi are able to see the site through James phone while they are at the hospital. Once home & time permitting, they may be able to update the blog themselves. Until then or if they choose, we will remain posting for them & be getting the most current updates on Trey via James & Naomi (or family).*

I found your blog through a comment on Grateful for Grace's blog. I'm a mom of 3 preemie boys -- a 34 wks, a 35 wks, and a 31 wks. All are doing great now -- 11 yrs, 8 yrs, almost 4 yrs. Praying the same for Trey.

I am praying for Trey and the family. Remember Alisha Bedwell. Her son Brodie was a preemie and weight less than two pounds and he is 3 years old and doing fine. God can do anything all we have to do is asked. Here if you need anything, just let me know.
